Lite and Pro

Tasks on a board

Tasks are the cards on a kanban board. They can be created from a column, the Quick Ticket window, a drop, or an annotation or console action.

Nexum Lite

5 tasks

The first five tasks on a board stay live. Extra cards stay in the board file with a Locked badge.

Nexum Pro

Every task

Every task on every board stays live. There is no count.

A card can own a Task Note. That note is a Markdown file, so it follows the note limit. The five-task count is the cards themselves.

How Lite counts

  • The rank sticks to the task. A task inserted from outside the tool, with no rank of its own, is placed after the tasks Nexum already ranked. An older created date on that pasted task does not jump it ahead.
  • Extra tasks stay in the board file. They show a Locked badge, and they cannot be opened, dragged, or edited. Clicking one shows the edition window.
  • Deleting a task is still allowed, including a locked one. Deleting a live task frees a slot and the next ranked task becomes live.
  • Creating a sixth task from inside Nexum shows the edition window and does not add the card.

What stays the same

Columns are not capped. Board settings are not capped. Subtasks, assignees, priorities, deadlines, and density are not counted against the 5 tasks.

The linked Task Note is a Markdown file and follows the Notes limit. References and attachments on a task have their own limits.
