Lite and Pro

Attachments on a task

Attachments are files stored on a kanban card, separate from references. A reference points at a note, a resource, or a Unity object. An attachment is a file path kept on the task.

Nexum Lite

3 attachments

The first three files on a task open. A fourth is refused, and extras already stored stay locked.

Nexum Pro

Every attachment

Every attachment on a task opens. There is no count.

How Lite counts

  • Lite opens the first 3 attachments on a task, in the order they are stored.
  • Adding a fourth shows the edition window and does not add it.
  • Attachments already on the task stay in the board file. Past the first 3, the row is marked locked. Choosing it shows the edition window and does not open the file.
  • Removing an attachment is still allowed, and the next one moves up.
  • This count is separate from the three references on the same task. A task can have 3 working references and 3 working attachments.
  • On a task that is itself locked, the whole ticket stays closed, including its attachments.

What stays the same

The file itself is left in place when the row is locked. Working attachments open the same way in both editions.

How a ticket holds context: Kanban.
