Lite and Pro

Writing

Writing is the editor used by every note: the title, the Markdown surface, formatting, and save.

Nexum Lite

No length cap

On an unlocked note you can type, format, paste, and save. A locked note opens the edition window.

Nexum Pro

Every link works

The same editor opens every note. Every reference and every embed in the text works.

Live Markdown in the Editor: headings, lists, highlights, callouts, and wiki-link suggestions. Lite and Pro use this same surface on every unlocked note.

How Lite treats the editor

  • The editor is included. There is no cap on length.
  • Typing [[ or ![[ is allowed even after the reference or embed count is full. The extra links stay in the file.
  • Only the first three references and the first three embeds work, as described in References in a note and Embeds in a note.
  • A locked note does not open in the editor. Choosing it shows the edition window. The file on disk is left unchanged.

What stays the same

Auto Save, manual save, the title field, and formatting behave the same in both editions. Preferences for the writing surface apply to both.
