Lite and Pro

Daily notes

Daily notes are the dated journal. Each day is a Markdown file named yyyy-MM-dd.md, opened from the Daily Notes view.

Nexum Lite

Included

There is no separate cap on days. Each daily note still uses a note slot.

Nexum Pro

Every day

Dated notes do not compete with other notes. Every dated file opens.

Shares the note limit on Lite

Each daily note is still a note. It shares the 10-note limit described in Notes. Once 10 notes are unlocked, creating another daily note is refused the same way creating any other note is refused. A daily note past that line stays on disk and shows a lock.

Daily Notes calendar and a dated note with focus, notes, and follow-ups

The calendar marks today and days that already have a note. Opening a day opens yyyy-MM-dd.md.

What stays the same

The Daily Notes view, the date template, and the daily-note styling in the File Explorer are the same in both editions. Preferences can hide that styling in either edition.

How the calendar and the template work: Daily Notes.

  • Notes

The 10 files Lite keeps unlocked, daily notes included.

  • Writing

The same editor, on a daily note that is unlocked.
